Marc knew Marissa was the one early on, but, in his words, “Mariss needed a little more convincing.” The stars did align for this beautiful love story and their wedding steeped in heritage and tradition. We love seeing a couple grounded in their history as they walk into the future.

BT: How did you and Marissa meet?
I went to uni with Marissa’s childhood friend/neighbour and they connected us…it took Mariss a little more convincing but she came around to the idea. Essentially they said “you’re Greek, she’s Greek…it’ll work!”
BT: When did you know she was the one for you?
I knew a lot earlier than Mariss, she played her cards very close to her chest.
BT: What was the best part of the day?
That’s easy! Seeing Mariss for the first time as she came down the isle.
BT: What’s something you remember most about the ceremony?
Definitely seeing Mariss come down the Isle… and her almost spilling the communion on her dress.
BT: What’s some good advice you would share with someone on their wedding day?
Make sure you take it all in, enjoy the moment because it goes incredibly fast.
BT: Can you tell us about the proposal?
Our first holiday together was in Byron 6 year ago, we’ve been going once or twice a year since and it has kind of become our little place so I planned to propose there. It worked out that Marissa’s family was planning a trip to Byron post covid lockdown which more or less coincided with when I had planned to propose. The morning we arrived in Byron we all decided to do the light house walk and meet Marissa’s parents at Wategos after. Midway through the walk Mariss stopped to take a photo of the beach, when she turned around to continue I was on one knee!

Lots! We renovated our apartment and moved in together, we had our honeymoon and currently planning our next trip to Europe.
