When we met Elliot and Tina in our Paddington showroom we instantly connected. They told us they fell in love with their beautiful wedding location, the amazing Red leaf luxury villa on the Hunter Valley. From then on our vision for his wedding suit was clear, an elegant tuxedo with an Italian flair in a rich Loro Piana cloth. Every single detail of Elliot’s and his groomsmen outfits was thought out and intentional, from the shoes to the bowties, it truly was an honour to be a part in their wedding.

What was the most memorable moment of the wedding day?
Obviously Tina walking down the aisle. We also had a very special moment with our Opera singer when he sang Nessun Dorma
Tell us about your engagement story?
We were living in London at the time. I arranged for the ring to be designed and made in Australia, which I then had Tina’s mum transport (smuggle) over to London and give to me on the down low. I proposed to Tina on her birthday at the St. James Hotel rooftop, overlooking all of London’s iconic landmarks. Post the tears and copious amounts of champagne, we dined at Dinner by Heston, followed by a trip to Sweden the next morning. It was a whirlwind of a weekend.
What was the overall aesthetic and style of the wedding?
Classic meets European. We were originally getting married in Greece, though after two failed attempts (thanks COVID), we had to relocate to a local alternative. Tina came across Redleaf Wollombi, which had an Italian meets French villa vibe, and as close to Europe as we were going to get. We fell in love with the venue and looked no further.
What was the dress code of your wedding and how did you decide it?
Dress code was formal black tie. There was no question about this, we just knew how we wanted our guests to feel in such a special setting.
What was the best part of getting your custom wedding suit made and why?
It’s your wedding day, a day where you want to look your utmost best. However, I didn’t want a mainstream tailor, I wanted someone who had passion and edge. I was walking along William St in Paddington and the Belance storefront caught my eye. As soon as I met Oscar and the team, I knew they were the right people for the job. My custom wedding suit was a force to be reckoned with, as were my groomsmen’s suits.
